The Proposal
The trip began with a long drive to Snowshoe Mountain, West Virginia, known for its winter slopes and summer transformation into a downhill bike park. As they neared the resort, the views opened up into endless layers of mountains. At a scenic overlook called "Top of the World", Addie asked Alec to pull over so she could take a quick video of the view. What she didn’t know was that Alec had planned to propose at that very spot the next day!
With the help of their photographer friend Kari Marsh (who had convinced Addie this was just a casual photoshoot), the surprise was carefully set in motion. Alec had spent days stressed about the weather, worried rain or clouds might hide the view. But when they arrived, the skies cleared perfectly as the sun began to set.
Kari started the shoot like any normal session, then quietly handed Alec the ring and asked the couple to admire the view together. Alec began the most heartfelt speech before asking Addie to be his wife, surrounded by the panoramic mountain view.
She said yes!
The evening ended in celebration with the friends who had traveled with them, and many emotional calls to family and friends at home. It was the perfect beginning to their next chapter together, and they can’t wait to celebrate with all of you!
